Padre Pio who died 40 years ago and is famous for his stigmata (wounds on his hands and feet corresponding to those of the crucified Christ) continues to be widely venerated by many Catholics worldwide.

Fr. GianMaria, Maria of Scotland and Msgr. Franzinelli meet with Bishop Pepe about the upcoming visitation of the Holy Relics of St. Pio of Pietrelcina, scheduled for
June 16 - 25, 2010.

T

he arrival of the relics of Saint Pio is a moment of grace for all the faithful and devotees,  but wishes also to be a spiritual presence of the Saint on that American soil where his father, Orazio Forgione, came to work to earn enough money to pay for the studies of the young Francesco, who then entered the Order of the Capuchins taking the name Brother Pio, today Saint Pio of Pietrel-

This is an event that will bring spirituality, meditation, moments of community prayer and the recounting of many testimonies.  It is an event that presents an opportunity that should not be lost. We are all invited to experience a moment of grace and communion of all the faithful and spiritual children of Padre Pio.
